It’s no secret. People have known for centuries that embracing and fostering an attitude of gratitude is one of the best things you can do to improve your life — to live a more happy and more fulfilling life.
And of course, when you wake up in the morning, you can start your day with gratitude. Look for the good throughout your day. And then at the end of the day, focus once again on gratitude.

I am thankful for the sun that gives us light and life.
I am grateful for animals, pets, bees, insects.
I’m grateful for anything living and breathing in the natural world.
I am grateful for the planet — for mother earth.
I’m grateful for the mystery of this incredible universe that we live in.
I am grateful for the large and the small things in my life.
I am thankful that I now slow down and notice the beauty and the good that’s all around me.
I’m grateful for the place I live.
I am grateful for my clothing.
I’m grateful for furniture.
I so appreciate modern conveniences.
I’m grateful for mobile phones, computers.
I’m grateful for electronics, appliances.
I am thankful and grateful for the many things that are so easy to take for granted.
I now stop and appreciate all of these things.
I am thankful and grateful for creativity.
I’m grateful for my own creativity and the talents of others.
I am grateful for art and music and literature.
I’m grateful for the tools of creativity.
I am grateful for paintbrushes, musical instruments, performance spaces.
I’m grateful for movies.
I am grateful for the many forms of entertainment we have available to us.
I am thankful and grateful for cars, automobiles.
I am grateful for public transportation.
I’m thankful and grateful for the work that I do.
I’m grateful for my job.
I’m grateful for my hobbies.
I’m grateful for the many businesses and business owners.
I’m thankful for charities and volunteer work.
I am grateful for non-profit organizations that do good in the world.
I am thankful and grateful for my ability to see the humor and the joy in my life.
I’m grateful for laughter.
I am thankful for smiles, for hugs.
I’m grateful for my ability to interact with other human beings.
I’m also grateful for my ability to spend time alone.
I am thankful and grateful for my five senses.
I’m extremely grateful for my ability to think.
I am grateful for my ability to observe my own thoughts.
I’m extremely grateful for my ability to be aware of the thoughts that serve me and that do not serve me.
I am grateful for my ability and my willingness to change my mind.

I’m grateful for all the experiences of my life and the lessons learned.
I welcome into my life creativity, play, joy.
I’m grateful for my ability to focus and have clarity.
