[Question] What Do You Listen to When You Write, Paint, Create or Brainstorm?

Some artists, writers and entrepreneurs work best in a quiet environment. Too many sounds distract them.

Others feel more at home with some type of audio stimulation in the background.

That sonic stimulation can be the hum of voices in a coffee shop, mellow jazz music, rock anthems, birds chirping, waves breaking on a beach, and more.

What About YOU?

Do you listen to music while you write, paint, design, create, generate ideas, etc?

There’s a certain type of music that works best for me: instrumental music, no vocals, slightly upbeat but not too aggressive.

Suggestion: Experiment with different sounds when you create.

Try instrumental tracks without vocals, symphonic music, film scores, heavy metal, meditation music, and sounds of rain and nature.

You can also change sounds based on the project and your mood: rock out on a more aggressive piece and mellow out on a more serene endeavor.

I just posted this YouTube video that features 30 minutes of it:

Let the audio in your environment inspire you.

And please let me know in the Comments what works for you.
