The Power of Intention, Connection, and Creativity

Insights and inspiration come in all forms. For me, they often appear as images in my mind’s eye during morning meditations.

These three odd images recently came to me, in this order: a rooster-shaped weather vane; an overgrown, unmowed lawn; and a needle and thread.

I was as surprised as you may be. But here is how I interpreted them …

A rooster-shaped weather vane.

To me, this represents the power of intention and direction. Just as a weather vane can help you know which way the wind is blowing, so too do your intentions help you chart your course in life.

When you set clear intentions and focus on a desired outcome, you can more easily navigate the challenges and obstacles that come your way.

A weather vane also goes with the flow of the wind, which offers an important lesson about accepting what is instead of resisting it.

The rooster represents greeting each new day with vigor — which is what I recommend you do every morning. Set an intention for your day. How do you want to feel? How do you want your day to unfold?

Visualize your ideal day with emotion and enthusiasm — while also being flexible enough to follow the unexpected twists and turns of life!

An overgrown, unmowed lawn.

This image represents the importance of tending to your inner landscape, just as you would tend to your physical surroundings. When you neglect your inner world, it can become overgrown with weeds of negativity and limiting beliefs, blocking your ability to see clearly and move forward.

By taking the time to tend to your mental and emotional landscape (by doing affirmations and setting intentions), you can create a fertile ground for growth and transformation.

This clears away the weeds and nourishes the soil with positive thoughts, emotions, and actions.

A needle and thread.

This represents the power of connection, healing, and creativity. Thread holds things together. It’s delicate by itself, but quite powerful when weaved together in the right way.

A needle and thread are also used to mend things that have torn or worn out. So this image also symbolizes the power you have to heal yourself from emotional and physical wounds and dis-ease.

They can also be used to create beautiful fabrics, which represent your ability to tap into your creative potential. That’s right. You have the power to weave a beautiful tapestry of love, joy, and abundance in your life.

Who knew these three odd images could provide so much meaning?

By combining the power of intention, morning vigor, self-care, acceptance, connection, healing, and creativity … you can create a life that is both fulfilling and meaningful.

Remember, you are worthy and deserving of all the good things life has to offer!

And, by aligning yourself with these principles, you can manifest your dreams and create a life beyond your wildest imagination.

Until next time, keep shining your light and spreading love and positivity to all those you encounter.

About my process for these images and insights

When I meditate in the morning and get to a point when my mind is clear and quiet, I ask myself this powerful question:

What message do I need to learn and share today?

Then I wait for an answer. For me, answers don’t come in the form of sounds or sensations. They appear as images in my mind’s eye.

I do my best not to be influenced by objects in my immediate environment or activities I engaged in the previous day.

I know they are the right images when they come out of the blue and seem unrelated to anything I might expect.

I can often feel them coming even as I am asking the question above. I usually get three separate and unrelated images in quick succession, sometimes four.

I write down the images I see, let them percolate for a while, and then do my best to interpret and discern what they each mean and how they tie together.

I have no idea where these images come from. I am not claiming to channel anyone or anything. This is just a process I have been enjoying and want to share with you.
