Two Ingredients for a Happy Life (and we’re in Orlando May 13)

Bob and Pooki here. We’re in North Carolina this weekend before we head to Florida next week.

As you know, we are all about spreading positivity and inspiration.

Today we want to share two ingredients that we’ve found to be essential to living a happy life.

Those two ingredients are Play and Passion.

First, it’s important to remember that life is short and every moment counts. So, don’t be afraid to take some moderate risks and try new things.

Whether it’s learning a new hobby, taking a dance class, or trying a new dish at a restaurant, exploring new experiences can help you feel more alive and energized.

In fact, lately we’ve been moving toward a plant-based diet and are having fun trying new recipes and healthy food combinations.

Second, make time for play. Life can be busy and overwhelming, but it’s important to take breaks and engage in activities that bring you joy.

For you, that might be playing a game, going for a walk in nature, or just taking time to be silly and playful with your loved ones.

Play is a crucial part of living a happy life.

As you may know, Bob teaches and performs improv comedy. Laughing and inspiring others to laugh is a core value for him. So he makes time to incorporate it into his life.

Third, and we know this sounds like a worn-out cliche, but we’ll say it anyway: explore your passions.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day routine and forget about the things that truly light you up.

Take time to reflect on what you are passionate about (or at least interested in) and make time for those things in your life.

Whether it’s writing, painting, singing, or anything else that brings you joy, pursuing your core interests can help you feel more fulfilled and satisfied.

Finally, don’t forget to appreciate the little things. Life is full of small moments of joy and beauty that often go unnoticed.

Take time to appreciate the sunrise, the sound of birds singing, or the taste of your favorite food. We did this very thing yesterday while we took a walk along a scenic river in the Smokey Mountains. It was refreshing.

Cultivating a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the small things in life can help you live with more joy and fulfillment.
